| Karagounis Vassilis |
Vassilis Karagounis studied Social Work at the Iraklio Technological Institute and holds a graduate degree (MSc) in Community Health from the University of Portsmouth; he completed his doctoral studies at the Department of Social Administration of the Democritus University of Thrace. He currently works at the AHEPA General Hospital in Thessaloniki where he runs the Democritus University’s internship program in Social Work. His research, primarily in the area of Social Work, with special focus on multicultural societies and vulnerable social groups, has been published in Greek and English-language periodicals and books.
He is the writer of the book Community Work and Local Development (Topos Books 2008).
